SALA 2015 Comments

Thanks so much for inviting me to the SA Literary Awards 2015 in Pretoria. It was my first time to participate in the Africa Century International Writers Conference. I found the presentations on literature by the imminent speakers quite stimulating and informative. There’s hope for literature in South Africa, that the writing craft will not disappear and our writers will lift the banner of our country’s freedom from past injustices throughout the world through the efforts of the wRite Associates Project.

We thank SALA again for recognizing young writing talents like Mangaliso Buzani. The SALA Award means so much to our writers and contributes to their commitment to continuously seek to improve their skill in writing.

Thank you and best wishes in all your future projects.

The prize was certainly one of the most most  unexpected pieces of news which I have received this year. Thank you very much and convey my gratitude to the members of the committee .

Thank you for the congratulatory message. It’s an absolute honour for my work to be acknowledged with an award named after one of the most memorable writers of my generation. Moreso in this, the tenth year of South African Literary Awards’ existence.

Thank you again.

Warmly,

I am really too grateful for this incredible recognition which came totally unexpectedly.

The cash prize is so generous but really the recognition means the most to me. Whatever happens in my life now, I will always have my SALA.

Thank-you!

I personally salute your continued passion and the love for always striving for perfection and excellent quality in your pioneering work of developing we the Writers and also giving us platform and an exposure.  I, for one and also my family – who this year did not manage to join me as they were attending family funerals in Limpopo, are very much humbled by all your Organisation’s efforts. May the Lord continue showering you and your Organisation with heavenly blessing!

To sis’ Sindiswa. Seakhoa and the team involved.

Thank you for the opportunity and the exposure you have given me, the time and the platform to meet other writers, the fraternity of artists and crafters; that brings happiness to me. I’m thankful for your time organizing such fabulous event, it should be noticed it was not easy but you’ve done it. Do continue with the good work you are doing, supporting – recognizing the writers of South Africa.
Guys; I don’t have other words other than these ones. Enkosi, ke a leboha.
